Ron Humphrey keeps the Reindahl Registry, has handled more instruments by this maker than anyone else living, and is the best-placed person on the subject — which is exactly why this project's own standing rule (research/34-letter-humphrey.md) is that a recollection from him stays hearsay until it carries a photograph. Nothing used here does. Read as a downloaded text scrape of his public post history, not from the forum pages themselves, so thread context around each post is thin. Three posts are used: 15 April 2025, giving Orben Sime's origins at Readstown, Wisconsin, his travelling ministry and his 1929 commission from Reindahl; 4 February 2006, listing the theremin, psalmodikon and pitchfork cello he played; and 19 March 2005, describing a 1929 Reindahl instrument located in west-central Wisconsin, made for a wandering musician, carrying Reindahl's label with a hand-written date and "KR" stamped on the butt end of the scroll, and calling it a pitchfork cello.
