Record details

Created by backfill on 2026-08-13 for material that was fetched, imported and transcribed without a source record ever being written; NOT YET COMPLETED BY HAND. Every field left empty here is empty because no held record states it: this backfill read the fetch record kept with the images, the fetch queue and, where the identifier is an archive.org item, that item's metadata API — and nothing else. Kind, evidence grade and the shortened note form are for a person. THIS KEY HOLDS LEAVES OF TWO ANNUAL VOLUMES and is not one citable book; anything cited from it must name the year. They are Akron City Directory, 1915, leaf 933 = printed p. 945 (archive.org akron-city-directory-1915) and Akron Official City Directory, 1916, leaf 1148 = printed p. 1118 (akron-city-directory-1916). Both printed folios are confirmed on the images. Publisher is the archive.org creator field for both items, not a title-page reading; place is left empty, neither item's metadata giving one. The identifier field is left empty because one field cannot hold two items; both are named above. A neighbouring year's finding recorded in the fetch record rests on machine text alone and is not evidenced by these images. Rights, verbatim from the fetch record: "Public domain; uploaded by the Akron-Summit County Public Library."

Everyone this source names

This document prints 2 names. A name found this way is the weakest thing this site records: the book names the person, and nothing more is said. It is not a line in a record — the lines that actually rest on this source are listed above, each with its own confidence. 2 of the names below reach a record on this site; lines from this source have been written for 0. The rest are names and nothing else — which is an honest description of the evidence, and an invitation: if you know one of these makers, we want to hear from you.
