    5. Schüler von Thumhart in Amberg. Nachdem er einige Jahre hindurch in verschiedenen Werkstätten gearbeitet hatte, machte er sich in Amberg als Geigenmacher und Musikinstrumentenhändler ansässig. Während seiner vierzigjährigen Tätigkeit hat er eine Anzahl von sehr sauber nach Amati gearbeiteten Geigen gemacht. Am Wirbelkasten brachte er gerne einen Löwenkopf an. Eine sehr gute Geige von ihm besitzt das Amberger Lehrerseminar. Seltener kommen Violen und Zithern von ihm vor.
