INTRODUCTORY
The Akron City Directory, in its 24th volume, is herewith presented. It has been compiled along lines familiar to the public through years of constant usefulness, and the publishers feel justified in making the claim that this is more complete than any former issue.
Instead of giving the public an estimate of the population of the city, based on the number of names in the Directory, we this year give the result of a complete census, taken at the time of our regular canvass, the aggregate of which gives forty-seven thousand and one hundred and twenty three (47,123) as the total number of inhabitants in our city. This shows a remarkable gain during the year just past.
We give as usual a directory of Barberton and Cuyahoga Falls, and in addition to these, a list of Taxpayers in Summit county, which we think will be appreciated by our patrons.
We desire to thank our friends for their generous patronage and to announce that the next volume will appear in June, 1902.
Respectfully,
THE BURCH DIRECTORY CO.
