INTRODUCTORY
We herewith present Volume 34 of the Akron City Directory, with the assurance that it will be found complete as is possible to make in a growing city.
We have used smaller type in this issue which enables us to get more names on a page and give fuller information and at the same time reduce bulkiness of the Directory.
The following carefully prepared table shows the number of names in each letter in the present volume and gain over the 1910 issue.

</table>
Totals, 1911—43,199. 1910—39,459. Gain—3,740.
A conservative estimate based on the above figures would indicate a present population of about 85,000. While the Directory includes Barberton, Cuyahoga Falls and Kenmore, the above figures embrace only Akron and Kenmore.
We take pleasure in returning thanks for the liberal patronage extended us in this work and also wish to thank those who in any way have assisted us in securing this volume of information. Our ambition is to make the Akron City Directory fully represent the "City of Opportunity."
Respectfully,
THE BURCH DIRECTORY CO.
July 1911.
