1SYNOPSIS OF CONTENTS
3R. L. Polk & Co.'s Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti City and Washtenaw County Directory for 1908 contains 928 pages, of these pages 17 to 49 are devoted to useful miscellaneous information relating to the City of Ann Arbor, embracing a street and avenue guide, city and county officers, banks, churches; public, miscellaneous and private schools, hospitals, incorporated companies, secret and benevolent societies, clubs, newspapers, the postoffice, railroads, courts, etc., etc. This is followed by an alphabetically arranged directory of business firms and private citizens in the City of Ann Arbor. A precisely similar arrangement follows for Ypsilanti. Following the same and beginning on 581 is an alphabetically arranged directory of business firms and private citizens in the several villages in Washtenaw County. Succeeding the above matter is a classified business directory of the two cities and the villages in the county, comprising a list of all persons engaged in business or the professions, classified under their respective callings. A directory of farmers in each township in Washtenaw County, alphabetically arranged, is contained in the concluding pages of the book.
