Price: $900
PADRE NICOLAUS AMATI, BONONIAE, 1730
Number 5169. This maker must not be confused with the celebrated Nicola Amati, of Cremona. He was a priest in Bologna, and as well a maker of violins. 11The model is well developed—the varnish a rich, brownish yellow color. The top is of spruce, and of choice fine grain. The back is of maple, in one piece, with a smallish figure extending across its breadth. Excellent state of preservation.
Price: $800
MATTIO ALBANI, BALZAN, 1708
Number 5193. Medium high type. Shaded orange red varnish. Top, straight grain spruce; back, two pieces beautiful flamed maple.
