It said STADLMANN, DANIEL ACHATIUS, Vienna, b. about 1680, d. 1744. One of the ablest violin makers in Vienna, and the best imitator of Stainer. His wood is of excellent quality and the varnish yellow. As he was a hard worker and very industrious, his violins can be found in many collections. — trade term as printed: "violin makers" — from OCR (read_as: ocr)
