1the curators of that museum recognised in the music that filled their ears the passionate demand of the violin itself to be placed in the care of him whom its master at one time loved and taught.
3Annual exhibitions of violins, such as that held at South Kensington in 1872, are quite another thing, and would be a most precious boon to all genuine lovers of the instrument, and, at the same time, prove the most certain means that could be devised for putting an end to those frauds which I am afraid are of almost daily recurrence.
