1HERE is what Peter Cooper, who died worth many millions, said of a local newspaper and Directory: "In all towns where a newspaper and Directory are published, every man should advertise in them, if nothing more than a card stating his name and the business he is in. It not only pays the advertiser, but it lets the people at a distance know the town in which you reside is a prosperous community of business men. As the seed is sown so the seed recompenses. Never pull down your sign while you expect to do business."—Exchange.
