151. Swarming Insects. In spring and fall, the winged (sexed) Termites swarm by millions. The body is dark—the wings white. These are breeders of new colonies.
162. Shelter Tubes. Look for shelter tubes, about the thickness of a pencil, on foundations, piers, walls, etc. Termites build tubes of fine particles of earth, and use them to reach wood that is otherwise inaccessible.
173. Frayed Woodwork. Examine the base of porch posts, fence posts, any wooden member in direct contact with earth.
184. Neighbors' Premises. Be suspicious if your neighbors' property is infested, though you find no symptoms of Termites on your own.
19Have Your Property Inspected by an Expert
20Call in a licensed operator. He will make a thorough inspection.
