1PREFACE.
3The publishers take pleasure in presenting to their patrons the eleventh edition of the Saginaw Directory, and are confident that the book will be found to be as once authentic and reliable as a record of the locations of the inhabitants and institutions of the city of Saginaw.
5The book contains 19,320 names, and by using the multiple 3, which is the one most commonly used by directory publishers, the approximate number of inhabitants is 37,960. The continued growth and prosperity of the city is a source of satisfaction and pride, and much of the advance that has been made in the past year must be attributed to the untiring energy and zeal of the officials of the Saginaw Improvement Company, who have advanced in many ways the commercial interests of Saginaw.
7The favors extended in past years to the publishers are duly appreciated and it is hoped that the present work may meet with the same kindly consideration that previous editions have received.
