6EXPLANATION—On referring to this Directory, it will be noticed that the names of streets, avenues, etc., follow each other in strictly alphabetical order without regard to location. To all the more important streets and avenues are subjoined the names and numbers of intersecting streets, avenues, etc., in the order in which they cross, so that if you wish to find 310 Lapeer avenue by reference to the guide you will find that Weadock avenue intersects Lapeer avenue at No. 300 and Park street at No. 400. Hence, the place you seek is between these two numbers and nearest to Weadock avenue.
