Record details

Three leaves, all read from the page images (held in this project's archive) and each dated from its own masthead. Two are Robinson's own advertisements — the 1899 claim to be “the oldest Violin Maker in the Northwest” is his, not the paper's — but they carry an address, a prior city and a price list, which are checkable facts of trade. The 1905 item is the paper's own reporting and is what fixes his forename: Orville M. Robinson. Note that the Globe and the Minneapolis Journal describe the underlying quarrel differently, the Globe saying Robinson claimed to be the rightful owner, the Journal saying he had lent the instrument.
