1me his career is most interesting, and ought to be a model for everybody. It presents so many noble qualities, the most enlightening models of steadfastness to his beloved classical school, and to his unfailing discharge of the ordinary duties of a teacher. The duties attached to a teacher in such an exalted position as he has held and still holds, are, of all others, most important, and those on which the welfare of many violinists has depended.
