1while the city owns and operates its own electric lighting and power plant. Located at the mouth of beautiful Logan Canyon, the city is on a scenic route to Bear Lake, mountain top resort. Tourists going to Yellowstone National Park also find that the route through Logan presents scenes of spectacular beauty. The city maintains a free camping ground for tourists where mountain water and fuel for camp fires are furnished. Modern hotel accommodations and excellent garage facilities are also available. A large wide-awake Chamber of Commerce of four hundred active members from the city and the county, and a progressive Rotary Club are in existence. Cache County, the setting for Logan, is particularly noted for its fine dairy herds, high yielding beet fields, and its large meat yields. Modern barns dot the county interesting to the prosperity of its dairy farmers. Three large condensed milk factories whose products are sold over the entire country are in operation while another one is soon to be built. Four sugar factories are producing in the county while contracts for a fifth have been let. Cache county flour, famous over the country for its excellent baking qualities, is found in seven mills with a combined capacity of over 2000 barrels daily. Of special importance agriculturally, is the growth of the pea canning industry in the county. The climate of the valley is particularly adapted to the production of green peas. An extensive modern cannery in operation supplied by nine vineries. This industry is destined to become one of the most important in the county. Cache County is served by a most progressive school system. Over thirty-five miles of roads will be paved when contracts already are filled. A steam railway and an electric interurban place Logan City and the county in close touch with other sections of the west. As a place for a home combining ideal climate, model home environment, and excellent opportunities, Cache county stands unsurpassed.
