Long carried in this project as “The Violinist, 1908” from Google's volume-level metadata; the issue cover, read from the page image on 12 August 2026, is masthead-dated JULY 1909, VOLUME VII., NO. 3 — the record's slug keeps the old year so existing citations still resolve. The directory leaf is an unpaginated advertising page with no printed folio. Its “Violin Makers, Dealers, Etc.” column lists Reindahl (Athenaeum Bldg.), Rush (Aurora), Stenger (Athenaeum Building), Ulbrich-Tatter (West Pullman), Van Dorston (824 W. Van Buren St.) among nineteen entries. The same syndicated list appears in The Journal of School Music beside its November 1908 number, there without Stenger and with Robert Pelz.
