AIRETON (EDMUND). — Londres, xviii° siècle. Né en 1727, il débuta dans l’atelier de Peter Wamsley. Imitateur d’Amati, Aireton construisit quantité de violons et de violoncelles. G. Hart déclare que son vernis, de couleur jaune, est très passable. Ce luthier mourut en 1807, âgé de quatre-vingts ans.
