    5. Zweiter Sohn, Schüler und Nachfolger von Nikolaus D. Gute, aber namentlich in bezug auf den Lack nicht hervorragende Arbeit. Auf einer Pariser Ausstellung erhielt er eine Bronzemedaille, kam jedoch seinem Vater nicht gleich. Er fertigte u. a. verschiedene, seinerzeit sehr beliebte Kontrabässe statt nach dem alten Viola- nach dem Geigenmodell mit gewölbtem Boden.
