    1. HILL AND SONS, London, 140 New Bond St. W. One of the largest and highest class violin-making institutions in the world. The present members of the firm are William Hill, Arthur Fred Hill, William Henry Hill and Walter E. Hill. They employ a large number of artisans at their shops in Hanwell, near London. The label used by Hill and Sons is reproduced on Plate 20, and one of their instruments on Plate 21.
