    1. Wettengel, Georg Victor Emanuel. — Markneukirchen. Geb. 1838, † 18. November 1898 im Alter von 60 Jahren 8 Monaten 14 Tagen
    2. Sohn von G. A. Wettengel. Er war gelernter Tischler und Mandolinenmacher und beschäftigte sich wie sein Vater mit theoretischen Studien. Er war Lehrer an der Fachschule für Instrumentenmacher in Markneukirchen und veröffentlichte u. a. in dem Berichte der Fachschule 1883 eine 100teilige Konstruktion des Geigenkörpers1). Er begründete 1854 eine von den Söhnen fortgeführte Fabrik, deren Hauptzeugnisse Gitarren und Mandolinen sind.
    4. Wettengel, Gustav Adolf. — (Mark)Neukirchen. 1820. 1830
    5. Von Hause aus war er Geigenmacher und hatte eine gute Schulbildung genossen, die ihn befähigte, ein umfassendes Lehrbuch für Geigenmacher herauszugeben, das lange als das beste in seiner Art gelten durfte und heute noch Wert hat. Er verlegte sich jedoch schon frühzeitig ausschließlich auf das Bogenmachen und soll auch eine Saitenfabrik besessen haben.
