3REGULATIONS: This Book must be returned within two weeks. A fine at the rate of Ten Cents per week will be assessed on each book detained over time, payable on its return.
5EXTRACT FROM THE STATUTES OF MASSACHUSETTS.
6Whoever willfully, intentionally and without right, or wantonly and without cause, writes upon, injures, defaces, tears or destroys a book, plate, picture, engraving, map, newspaper, magazine, pamphlet, manuscript or statue belonging to a law, town, city or other public or incorporated library, shall be punished by fine of not less than five nor more than fifty dollars, or by imprisonment in the jail not exceeding six months.
