1PREFACE.
3It is the purpose of this book to provide a more complete and comprehensive directory of the town of Lee, Massachusetts, than has yet been published. It is the intention to include the name of every man, woman and child in the town, grouping them in families and giving occupation and residence. The village of South Lee is placed under a separate heading. The Directory has been compiled with great care and thoroughness, and we believe will be found accurate up to date of going to press and exceptionally free from the errors which are customary and almost inevitable in such works. The pictures of churches and public buildings, and the miscellaneous information given will make the Directory a most valuable and attractive souvenir of Lee, and will commend it to all who are in any way interested in this goodly town.
