1ward der Ehrenname „der französische Stradivari“ zuteil. — Vortreffliche Arbeiten, meist Kopien nach Stradivari*), selten nach Guarneri und Amati. ff-Löcher und Schnecke vollendet schön geschnitten, Lack rot bis rotbraun, geschmeidig und dennoch haltbar, und wenn auch nicht immer völlig durchscheinend, doch einer der besten nach dem Cremoneser. Der Ton der Instrumente des Nicolas Lupot ist ausgiebig, dennoch weich und rund. Gesuchte Konzertinstrumente.
