1PREFACE.
3Our annual visit to the dwellings and places of business of the citizens of Boston has again been made, and the results are contained in the following pages. Our grateful acknowledgments are due to the public for their continued cooperation in the work. The map we had in view last year has been deferred,—owing to the new division of Wards, which when completed will cause new boundary lines to be traced. A strong probability exists that a new and much improved map, made from recent surveys, will soon appear under the city auspices.
5We shall continue to make all possible improvement in future numbers.
